Wash It, Not Just Wipe It
The InduKey IP68 models are rated for submersion in liquids, so the whole keyboard can be washed, not just wiped around the keys.

Sealed to Wash, Built to Work

A washable keyboard is sealed so the whole unit can be wiped, washed and disinfected, then put straight back to work. A standard office keyboard cannot be cleaned like that: dirt, fluid and residue collect in the gaps between the keys, where a wipe cannot reach. In hospitals, dental surgeries, laboratories, food factories, pharmaceutical plants and cleanrooms, that makes the keyboard one of the hardest surfaces in the room to keep clean. This range centres on InduKey's IP68 silicone keyboards, made in Germany, which the manufacturer states can be submerged in liquids and cleaned with soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents. Alongside them are a sealed IP68 silicone mouse and the IP67 B45 glass keyboard with wireless connection. Tell us which cleaning agents you use and how often, and we will match a model to your routine.

What matters when a keyboard has to be cleaned and disinfected as often as the surfaces around it.
The InduKey IP68 models are rated for submersion in liquids, so the whole keyboard can be washed, not just wiped around the keys.
InduKey states its IP68 silicone keyboards can be cleaned with soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents. Tell us yours and we will check it.
One-piece silicone and glass surfaces have no open gaps between the keys for fluid, crumbs or residue to collect in.
The TKH silicone mouse is fully cleanable and can be immersed in detergents, with its scroll keys built into a closed housing.
Integrated touchpads and mouse-button pointing put cursor control on the same sealed surface as the keys.
InduKey models can be specified by layout, language, cable type, cable length and interface, with individual modifications on demand.
VESA mounting on the TKG-104-MB, a wireless glass keyboard in the B45, and a compact 86-key board for tight benches.
Whisper keystrokes on the TKL-105, a locking key on the TKG-107 to stop stray commands, and a backlit TKG-107 version.
Where washable keyboards are used: clinical areas cleaned between patients, food lines cleaned down every shift, and pharmaceutical plants and cleanrooms where every surface follows a written cleaning procedure. Each block lists typical tasks in that setting.
Keyboards on wards, carts and shared desks are touched by many hands in a shift and are cleaned as part of routine infection-control practice. A washable IP68 keyboard can be cleaned and disinfected as thoroughly as the trolley it sits on, and a washable mouse or built-in touchpad means the pointing device gets the same treatment. Where cables get in the way of cleaning, the wireless B45 glass keyboard removes them from the desk.
Ward and nurse-station workstations
Computer-on-wheels and medication carts
Isolation and side-room terminals
Emergency department triage desks
Admissions and outpatient reception PCs
Sterile services and decontamination units

Dental surgeries clean down surfaces between patients, and the keyboard used for charting and imaging sits close to the chair. A sealed silicone or glass keyboard can go through the same cleaning routine as the rest of the surgery, with no gaps between the keys to hold residue. Compact and touchpad models keep the footprint small on a crowded worktop.
Chairside patient records and charting
Dental imaging and X-ray software
Treatment-room appointment booking
Decontamination room records
Minor procedure and treatment rooms
Veterinary consulting and treatment rooms

Laboratory benches see reagents, samples and cleaning chemicals every day, and a keyboard beside an analyser has to survive the occasional spill and the cleaning that follows. IP68 silicone keyboards with a chemically resistant coating can be cleaned at the bench, and a full number pad keeps results entry quick. Low-noise keys on the TKL-105 suit quieter research spaces.
Analyser and instrument control
Sample registration and tracking
Laboratory information system entry
Results review and sign-off
Microbiology and pathology benches
University and contract research labs

Food production areas are cleaned down at the end of every shift, and a terminal keyboard in a production area has to be cleaned with them. An IP68 keyboard can be washed rather than covered or replaced, and a sealed one-piece surface leaves nothing for food residue to build up in. IP68 covers immersion, not pressure jets, so if your line is hosed down, tell us and we will check the model against your routine.
Line control and HMI terminals
Batch, weighing and labelling stations
Traceability and quality checks
Cold-store and dispatch terminals
Cleaning and hygiene audit records
Bakery, dairy and meat processing areas

Pharmaceutical production areas follow written cleaning procedures, and every surface in them, including the keyboard, has to be cleaned with approved agents. Sealed IP68 keyboards and mice give operators a surface that can be cleaned and disinfected to the same procedure. Configurable layouts, cables and interfaces let one keyboard model fit filling lines, weighing booths and QC desks alike.
Electronic batch record entry
Filling and packaging line terminals
Weighing and dispensing booths
Quality control release workstations
Line clearance and cleaning logs
Goods-in and warehouse terminals

In cleanrooms and controlled areas, equipment taken into the room is cleaned and disinfected like everything else in it. A smooth, sealed keyboard with a built-in touchpad or a washable mouse is far easier to clean than an office keyboard and mouse. Tell us your cleanroom grade and cleaning agents and we will confirm which model suits the room.

Start with how the keyboard will be cleaned. For wiping and spraying, any sealed model will do; to wash or soak the whole unit, choose an IP68 model, which is rated for continuous immersion under conditions the manufacturer sets. IP67 covers temporary immersion. Neither rating covers high-pressure jets, so if the area is hosed down, tell us before you order. Next, check your cleaning agents: the InduKey pages state their IP68 keyboards can be cleaned with soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents, and we can confirm a specific product with the manufacturer. Then decide on pointing. A built-in touchpad or mouse button keeps everything on one sealed surface, or pair a keyboard with the washable TKH silicone mouse. Choose the size to fit the space, from the compact 86-key TKG-086 to the full 107-key TKG-107, and decide whether you need VESA mounting, wireless connection, backlighting or quiet keys. Finally, specify the language layout and cable you need.

A washable keyboard is sealed so that the whole unit, keys included, can be cleaned with liquids without damaging the electronics. Most use a one-piece silicone or glass surface with no open gaps between the keys, so dirt and fluid cannot collect underneath. The InduKey models featured here are rated IP68, which allows submersion in liquids, and the B45 glass keyboard is rated IP67. That is what makes them suitable for healthcare, dental, laboratory, food and pharmaceutical areas where keyboards are cleaned as often as the surfaces around them.
"Waterproof" is an informal word; the IP rating is what to check. IP68, the rating on the featured InduKey keyboards and the TKH mouse, covers continuous immersion under conditions set by the manufacturer, and InduKey states these keyboards can be submerged in liquids. IP67, the rating on the B45, covers temporary immersion. Both are dust-tight. Always follow the manufacturer's cleaning instructions for immersion, and ask us if you plan to soak keyboards as part of a routine.
The InduKey product pages state that their IP68 silicone keyboards can be cleaned with soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents, and that the TKH mouse can be immersed in detergents. They do not list specific chemicals. Because disinfectants vary a lot in strength and formulation, send us the name of the product your infection-control or hygiene policy specifies and we will confirm compatibility with the manufacturer before you order.
None of the featured models is sold with an antibacterial or antimicrobial claim. If you are searching for an antibacterial keyboard, what usually matters in practice is that the keyboard can be cleaned and disinfected properly and often. These keyboards are sealed so that you can do exactly that, with no gaps between the keys for contamination to sit in. If your specification calls for an antimicrobial surface, tell us and we will confirm exactly what the manufacturer states for a specific model.
Not without checking first. IP67 and IP68 ratings test dust and immersion; they do not test water jets, and high-pressure, high-temperature washdown is a separate rating altogether. Wiping, spraying and washing by hand suit all the featured keyboards, and the IP68 models can be immersed. If your area is hosed down as part of the cleaning routine, tell us how and we will check whether a model is suitable.
For most clinical desks and carts, the TKG-105-MED-IP68 gives a full layout with number pad, and the TKG-107-TOUCH-IP68 adds a built-in touchpad so there is no separate mouse to clean. Where space is tight, as on many dental worktops, the compact 86-key TKG-086 takes up less room. The B45 glass keyboard works over USB, 2.4GHz RF or Bluetooth, which keeps cables off the surface. If you need a separate mouse, the TKH silicone mouse can be cleaned in the same way.
The IP68 InduKey silicone keyboards are listed by the manufacturer for food and beverage processing, healthcare and pharmaceutical use, and they can be cleaned with soapy water, disinfectants or other cleaning agents. The TKG-104-MB adds 75 x 75 mm VESA mounting for an arm or machine stand, and the TKG-107-TOUCH has a locking key to stop incorrect commands being triggered. If the area is hosed down, rather than wiped or washed by hand, check with us first.
Yes. The InduKey TKH-MOUSE-SCROLL-IP68-LASER is a full silicone mouse with laser detection at 1000 dpi and scroll keys built into a closed housing. InduKey describes it as completely cleanable and sanitisable, and states it can be immersed in detergents. It is rated IP68 and comes with a plastic or aluminium base. Alternatively, choose a keyboard with a built-in touchpad or mouse button so there is only one device to clean.
Yes. The TKG-104-MB-IP68-VESA-GREY has 75 x 75 mm VESA mounting holes, so it fits standard monitor arms, carts and stands. The other featured keyboards are desktop and free-standing models. For mobile carts, the wireless B45 glass keyboard removes the cable altogether. Send us details of your cart or arm and we will confirm the fit.
Yes. The featured InduKey keyboards can be specified by keyboard layout and language, with UK, US and a range of European and other layouts listed on the product pages, depending on the model. The B45 is listed in UK, US, French, German, Norwegian, Spanish, Cyrillic and Belgian layouts. Tell us the layout you need when you ask for a quote.
The featured InduKey keyboards and the TKH mouse connect over USB and are listed as compatible with all Windows and Macintosh operating systems. The B45 connects over USB, 2.4GHz RF or Bluetooth. If you are connecting to a medical device, an embedded system or another operating system, tell us what it is and we will check compatibility before you order.
Yes. InduKey keyboards can be specified by layout, language, cable type, cable length and interface, and several featured models list individual modifications on demand. That makes it possible to standardise on one washable keyboard across departments while matching each site's language, cable run and connection. Tell us what you need and we will confirm what is possible for a specific model.
Washable keyboards are sealed input devices made to be cleaned with liquids, so they can be washed and disinfected as often as the surfaces around them. This range centres on InduKey's IP68 silicone keyboards, made in Germany, from a compact 86-key board to full 107-key layouts with touchpad, mouse-button pointing, VESA mounting, backlighting or low-noise keys. A sealed IP68 silicone mouse and the IP67 B45 wireless glass keyboard complete the range, for hospitals, dental surgeries, laboratories, food and beverage processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing and cleanrooms.
